A Mainstreet Christmas
It's easy to conjure up the scenes - downy snow catches the woolen hat brims of scarved trumpeters, trombonists and tubists serenading holiday shoppers on a street lit by gas lamps; a brass ensemble and organ join forces on Christmas Eve to fill a church sanctuary with a warm, sonority to inspire singing on the most cherished carols.

Like egg nog and nutmeg, evergreen bows and a model train circling the nativity scene under the Christmas tree, brass, organ and Christmas are an inseparable combination.

All of us in the Mainstreet Brass are thankful to organist George Boyer and Allen Organ Co. for producing this recording, which represents some of the Christmas favorites we've enjoyed since we first got together in November 1986. We've always looked forward to the busy holiday season to bring out these carols and perform them in concert, at festivals and in church.

We're privileged to bring you this collection of Christmas favorites for brass, organ and organ and brass. On behalf of everyone in the Mainstreet Brass and the staff at Allen Organ, we hope you enjoy this recording and make it part of your Christmas tradition.
