Mainstreet rings in Christmas during recording sessions
Working with one of the nation's most respected recording engineers, Mainstreet Brass has completed a new Christmas album that's expected to be released later this year.
The recording, which will feature new arrangements for brass and brass and percussion, is produced and engineered by Richard Price, president of Candlewood Digital, a Connecticut-based company of classical recording specialists. Price has more than 900 commercial CDs to his credit during his nearly 20 years in the recording industry, including the successful release last year of the Mainstreet Brass CD "By Request."
"Once again, Richard set a high bar and inspired us to think of the people who will find meaning and light in these magical Christmas arrangements," said Allen Frank, Mainstreet's tubist. "It's our wish that this recording will become part of holiday traditions for years to come. Stay tuned for more details as this exciting project unfolds."

Mainstreet Brass has released its new recording, "By Request," on the MSR Classics label.
The CD, a collection of Mainstreet Brass's favorite pieces as well as music requested by its audiences over the years, is available at all Mainstreet Brass concerts and at our online store on this Web site.
The 18 selections presented on the recording, many of them commissioned by Mainstreet Brass, range from classical, to blues and swing to folks songs.

Founded in 1997, MSR Classics is an independent record label committed to musical excellence and supporting recording artists. MSR Classics is managed by Robert LaPorta, a 20-year veteran of the recording industry who has served as classical director of the EMI Classics and Virgin Classics labels.
